I’ve been in the marketing and direct response world since the late 1980’s, learning from some of the greats at Royall & Company, MarketShare and SunTrust Bank. I started MBM in 1999 because I was increasingly frustrated by marketing firms focusing more on their creative and winning awards than on providing results for their clients. My first question is always, “What are we trying to achieve?” And I’m not going to stop asking questions until we’re both very clear on what you want to accomplish and how that will be impacted by your culture and operations. You need a marketing strategy that’s going to be effective for you and your organization – not just something that worked for others.

When I’m not working on marketing strategies and creative implementation, I like to help make Richmond a better place through my involvement with the Greater Richmond Chamber, the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg, and Richmond Triangle Players. And I try to stay current with my New Yorker subscription, Ashtanga yoga, the latest music and good wine. If we get together, be sure to let me know if you share any of my passions (but allow an extra half hour to talk because I can get really worked up!).
